Mobile vs Desktop How to Rank

I occasionally have encounter businesses spend a huge amount of time working on making their website look good on a desktop computer. The same client totally neglects to see how well it loads or looks on a mobile device as they consider this to be not as important as desktops. Those days are long in the past and in 2020 around 62% of all searches were done on a mobile device. Google as already went to mobile first indexing which means they will update their mobile search engine section first over desktop. As mobile has grown throughout the years at an extremely fast rate search engines are looking on how well your site does on a mobile phone.

 

If your site has to do a lot of rendering to go mobile it might load slow compared to looking at a website on a desktop. This causes a lot of people to bounce off your website or touch the back arrow and go to the search engine in look for a faster website. This is what I call a bounce back and if you get too many can impact your search ranking as Google monitors bounce backs.
